It meets stringent federal and state reporting requirements as does CARES, established in 1984 as a nonprofit corporation under 38 U.S.C. Section 7361. CARES submits a report annually to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. That report is, in turn, submitted to Congress as required by law. When asked to defend the United States of America, our Veterans answered not only with their bodies and minds, but with their hearts—the place where courage and love of country have their home.
